​In our time, sustainability and environmental awareness play an increasingly important role. Along with this, the topic of meat-free nutrition is also becoming present. When manufacturing products that are also suitable for vegans or vegetarians, it therefore makes sense to look into the subject a little more.

The debate centers on so-called critical nutrients. Nutrients are considered critical if they are supplied to the human body mainly through meat products. Meat and fish are the specific sources of protein, iron, iodine, vitamin B12 and omega-3 fatty acids..
