The Vitafoods in Geneva is considered the largest trade fair in Europe around the topic of food supplements and this year we were there again as visitors.
Our impressions
Christiane Strasse and Dirk Brauns made their way to Geneva last week to attend Vitafoods. Our focus here was on European manufacturers.
In general, there were many exciting encounters with people and very different companies. In the many conversations we had, we became increasingly aware of these topics in particular:
Trends 2023
Many natural ingredients were shown, but few organic products. In terms of dosage forms, a trend towards functional gummy bears, shots and sachets was noticeable.
We saw a lot on Healthy Ageing, but there was also a lot of presentation on Sports Nutrition and Mental Health.
In addition, we noticed a trend toward gender-specific needs in nutritional supplements. There were many products on women's and men's health.
In general, the main focus was on plant-based nutrients as an alternative to synthetic products.
