The most popular herbal ingredients in dietary supplements may vary depending on current consumer trends and research findings. 

Composition of the popular herbal ingredients

Turmeric contains the active ingredient curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties(cf. statement of the BVL chap. 2.3 2020). It is commonly used in dietary supplements to support joint health, reduce inflammation and promote overall wellness.

​Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to reduce stress and improve immune function. Its effectiveness has been investigated in various studies, for example this one

Elderberry (Sambucus Nigra) is a fruit traditionally used to support immune function. It is often used in dietary supplements to prevent and treat colds and flu .

Better known by its Latin name Rhodiola Rosea, this adaptogenic herb is traditionally used to improve mental and physical performance and reduce stress. However, the plant has been classified as an endangered species at CITES-Conference 2022  Therefore, we have decided to no longer actively offer Rosenwurz.


Ginseng ​is also an adaptogenic herb. Its applications include supporting natural immune functions. In addition, it can improve physical and mental performance, as well as help relieve stress. Green Tea

A variety of valuable ingredients, including cathecine, is contained in green tea. It is said to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is processed in dietary supplements in various specifications. Thereby, the tea is supposed to support weight management, but also to promote general health.
