Pumpkin

A healthy overall package

Pumpkins are a genus of plants that belong to the cucurbit family. They are found in many regions of the world and thrive in both hot, sunny and shady areas. Many different varieties of pumpkin exist. Did you know that botanically they are berries?

Ingredients

The berries are full of valuable ingredients: minerals, vitamins and fibre.

The orange flesh contains many nutrients such as potassium, iron and magnesium. Beta-carotene and many other vitamins are also part of the flesh.

Equally healthy are the seeds of pumpkins. They are also rich in vitamins and minerals and omega-3 fatty acids. They can also be consumed as pumpkin seed oil.
