Is the Ayurvedic diet vegan?

Ayurvedic products often with animal ingredients

More and more people prefer a purely plant-based diet. It is often assumed that a vegan diet also automatically conforms to the Ayurvedic health system. However, in the Ayurvedic diet, some animal foods are valued as valuable foods, including milk, honey or yoghurt. Thus, the Ayurvedic diet is considered vegetarian, but not vegan.

Our plant extracts

Even some of our plant extracts, which can also be used for Ayurvedic purposes, are not automatically vegan. You can find out whether animal ingredients are contained in these by downloading our data sheets.
