Algae oil has been a trend for some time, especially when it comes to supplying important omega 3 fatty acids in a vegan diet.
We have developed an algae oil powder that consists of 66% high-quality algae oil from the USA, which complies with the EU's Novel Food Directive. Maltodextrin is used as a carrier and the powder can therefore be conveniently filled into capsules. The advantage is that the user can dose the product better and avoid the algae taste.
The Algae Oil
The algae oil is produced in the USA and is extracted from the microalgae *Schizochytrium*, a marine microalgae. They are grown in a closed cycle. The pure oil has a DHA content of at least 30% and an EPA content of at least 15%. You can find more information about the oil here.
The Algae Oil Powder
The algae oil powder is produced in Germany by mixing it in a ratio of two parts algae oil and one part tapioca maltodextrin. This results in a proportion of 20% DHA and 10% EPA in the final product.

Firstly, algae oil does not have a fishy taste, which is a deciding factor for many users.
